The N7747C is equipped with two power sensor channels and the N7748C is equipped with four power sensor channels. Each port can be connected to a proven 81000xI connector interface to meet common fiber optic connector standards.

The N7747C and N7748C continue the common trigger concept of the N77-C series and the modern user interface, which is accessible through a browser and allows users to easily configure the functions of the instrument. The instrument has high-speed measurement data acquisition capabilities and a faster data interface, and uses dual-port RAM to simultaneously measure and read results without interrupting either operation. In addition, the quick power range switching function helps to avoid unnecessary delays in the measurement process and post-processing.
